This is continued from my other post on where my Mii projects stand. That’s when I first introduced Fusion, and this post goes into more depth on my plans.

It doesn’t exist yet. Sorry if I clickbaited you. But it’s not far off, either!

Miis are deceptively complicated

On the surface? A cute Nintendo character creator. Choose a face shape, eye type, some sliders, done. Behind that, there’s an entire hidden world that nobody fully appreciates until they sit down and try to read the raw data.

This is a continuation of the previous post on the frontend/website. Read it here.

Mii Renderer Server (“FFL-Testing”)

You know when people talk about how those “temporary solutions” are always the ones that stick around the longest? Yeah… this is one of those.

Most people know me for this project I started more than two whole years ago (yikes), which I gave the excellent name “Mii Renderer REAL!!!!!!!!!!!”.

The website, hosted at… mii-unsecure.ariankordi.net.

Since then, I’ve explored many different ideas for Mii related projects and have went down many rabbitholes for reverse engineering Miis, and there’s always been more I’ve been wanting to make out of what I’ve learned.

This page is for URLs I used to host but no longer exist. My 404 page redirects you here if you reached one.

ariankordi.net/mii/, ariankordi.net/seth/, pf2m.com/hash/

These APIs used to take a Nintendo Network ID, and let you get a Mii render with it. It gave you a “Mii hash” used to access official NNID renders used on Miiverse. As you guessed, this was mostly used for Miiverse clones.

For example, it would give you 2efa39n1gq3r2 to be used in the URL https://mii-secure.cdn.nintendo.net/2efa39n1gq3r2_normal_face.png then multiple expressions and whole_body can be used.

Hi. My name is Arian Kordi (pronounced ah-ree-AHN). I am 22
years old.

I spend most of my time coding or gaming, but I really enjoy reverse engineering anything related to Nintendo.
